This summer we only grew buckwheat as a cover crop to help build up the soil in our raised vegetable garden bed.
Since we couldn't live a year without fresh tomatoes, we also had a couple of pots of cherry tomatoes and one cucumber pot.
The buckwheat seedlings took off quickly.
At full summer's bloom.
About a month ago seed heads (and tomatoes) galore!
Just a couple days ago, I left the cuttings to be tilled under.
And that's how our garden grows!
Thanks for stopping by!

Very pretty!
ReplyDeleteWe love your blog header with the autumn leaves and flowers - you are so busy outside and wondered if your cats go free out there or if you keep them inside so they don't dig up the earth.

They are indoor only cats, but we have a pretty nice outdoor cat enclosure attached to the cottage. I've done a few posts about it and there are plenty of pictures of the cats enjoying it. I'm featuring an outdoor shot in tomorrow's post. Please come back again!!
