Mancat Monday: Angus

Something soft and reflective lurks within this mess of square angles.

Hello All,

I accidentally took the summer off from posting. Life was quite busy! I have a few posts lined up I'd love to share with you, and gorgeous Angus next to the cat house is one of them. I trust you've all had an eventful summer!

Mr Lazy Pants and the Peaceable Kingdom

Such well behaved boys eating on the table!

And then there's Mr. Lazy Pants!

Snafu doesn't eat this way all the time, but he does eat separated from the others (as does Penny).

A peaceable kingdom is our goal.

The Last Days

Three kitties took advantage of the last days in the cat enclosure before it snowed on Thanksgiving.

Not much kitty action out there since!

Toesies on a shelf on...Wednesday?

Those tailless tabbies take up all the Tuesdays so we had to do something!

This is Angus, by the way.

It's Time for Lunch!

No, not prisoners...

Every morning all the kitties go into the bedroom so that Snafu can come out of his room, have a peaceful breakfast and spend some one on one time with me.

Then, when it's lunch time, everycat is ready to come out and eat!

We're hungry!!!

By this time of day, Snafu has found a napping spot that is out of the path of other kitties, and the delicate balance is maintained.

Flashback Friday with Angus

Little Mr Handsome Puffy Angus when we were still fostering him July 2007.

He still likes to play with the largest toys. At night he carries them around in his mouth, while he meows his "call of the wild" muffled by his catch.

Angus, whose name was originally Parris, stayed in our foster room with a young female named Laurel (because she was found in the mountain laurel bushes outside the humane society). She was adopted to a nice lady.

Angus tugged on my heart strings (which I believe is called a failed foster?!) and he's been wonderful addition to our family ever since.

Prizes in the Mail

The kitties of Marshwood Cottage won the Giveaway sponsored by 15AndMeowing.com and were very intrigued by the smell of this neat little package!

Penny and Angus were the first on the scene.

When I opened the package Penny took first rights of inspection as befits her queendom.

Owen, of course couldn't resist wanting to know.

But Penny made it known it was her nip mat until she was finished.

After Penny gave it up, Wizard had a look-see.

Then finally Owen got his chance.

I didn't realized Angus was waiting patiently in the wings for his chance...

to abscond with the whole mat!

Angus wasn't taking any chances...

He wanted to inspect the mat in private!

No teeny tiny sniffy sniffy for Angus!

He wanted the full nip mat experience! Look at those glowing eyes in his reflection!

Penny eventually found him out and took back her rights.

So Angus did the next best thing and played with the packaging!

A big thank you to 15AndMeowing.com for the fun!
