Fu and Yu: Stand Off at the Window

Fu wants in and Yu wants out

What to do....

I walked away and returned 10 minutes later...

The stand off only intensified.

This required human intervention.

 I picked up Yukon (he hissed at me, but I kissed on him), and Fu came right inside. Then I put Yukon back down, and he went outside.

Happy cats!

All in a days work for a cat mum!

Now and Then

I thought it was really sweet, but then the other day, Yukon and Nick gave me a wonderful example!

Triad Tuesday

Snafu, Wizard and Yukon

Wizard runs from Snafu (when he's awake). 

When he sees Snafu coming toward him, he trots quickly out of his path and usually jumps up high for safety.

Snafu's big paws pack a major wallop. His favorite move is a left-right-left, 1-2-3 to the face and ears, with a possible bite if the victim's not fast enough. 

Yukon is the only cat who'll stare him down, but Snafu is not above sneak attacks and has walloped Yukon from behind a couple of times.

Such is the life and times of felines.

Fu and Yu: The Block

Yukon is large and in charge not letting Snafu leave his room by sitting in the doorway.

A classic example of blocking. 

At the beginning of the video Snafu is appealing to me for help (which I do quite often), but I'm busy doing other things (like videoing the whole scenario!).

I love the 'I'm not looking at you' head turns.

Look for when Yukon decides to let Snafu out, and his little "hop" turn. It's like he's saying "Yeah, that's good enough. My work is done here."

Fu and Yu: Sort of Sharing the Bed

Snafu found a way to lay "under" his favorite bed since Yukon was on top of it.

He's such a clever fellow.

In this video you can see Yukon's protest, then he decides "Well, I guess this is okay," and he relaxes a bit.
