The other kitties in the household are not as charmed by Snafu as we humans. He can be very aggressive if the mood strikes him. While Wizard tolerates him and mostly leaves the room where he is acting up, Yukon will whap him if he gets too close, and Penny will offensively attack him if he's "in a mood." Owen has learned to take him in short spurts, running for a high place when he's had enough or if Snafu bites too hard (usually in the privates). He is very aggressive towards BJ and Angus and will stalk and attack them if given a chance.
Three Feliway dispensers keep the worst of him in check and our watchful eyes follow him around to monitor his whereabouts. But in order for everyone to track him more easily he has been given something very special...
BELLS!
We've tried a calming collar on him for a couple of months (new and fresh each month), but he just chews that up and spits it out laughing (not really). He gives new meaning to the phrase "Hells Bells."

Haha! Our Zoey chewed her calming collar off too...we posted pictures of it today! And now she wears a bell so me and Wally know where she is at all times!! She gets a little wild too!
ReplyDeleteVery funny! Actually, we also have a bell on Bibi The Terror, for pretty much the same reason.
ReplyDeleteI'm gonna ask Mom to get Milo sum bells like that ~ he's always giving me grief!
ReplyDeleteAlfie xx
Hells Bells. hahahaha! How many Hells Bells are you wearing, Snafu? Do you get a new bell added every time you're a little bit Bad? 'coz that could get pretty heavy.
ReplyDeleteWe are very sorry the calming collar did not help you Snafu. Perhaps if you didn't chew it off it would work better. Just saying.
Hahahaha! Too bad the calming collars didn't work, though; we know several others around the CB are finding them quite helpful. Snafu is in a class all by himself!
ReplyDeleteHells Bells. MOL!
ReplyDeleteNow Mommy is humming that AC/DC song...please Mommy, stop! She might be a little tone deaf.
ReplyDeleteSnafu, you and Maui could play together, you sound like JUST the type of wild man he is. How soon before you learn to walk and NOT jingle your bells? We give it a week.
At least Snafu will be in tune for Christmas...he can jingle all the way!!!
ReplyDeleteHELLS BELLS~!!! That's GREAT!
ReplyDeleteOh, Snafu, you ARE a handful in more ways than one. May your bells give some warning to your poor siblings.
ReplyDeleteMOL!!...That wild Snafu is a silly boy; he looks very handsome with his bells on...Happy Friday, sweet friends...kisses...Calle, Halle, Sukki
ReplyDeleteYou do look handsome with your bells Snafu, but how long before you chew them off?
ReplyDeleteSnafu, do you like your jingle bells or do you try to chew those off too?
ReplyDeleteHells Bells Indeed!!
ReplyDeleteWe're glad your back from vacation. Mom is still working on the booky and is still breaking from commenting for the most part. If you're ready to group let her know.
Snafu, we think you look very handsome in your new bells. We don't blame your beans for wanting you to wear bells...that way they won't miss any of your awesome antics.
ReplyDeleteWelcome back, by the way! I've been in and out of the CB for the last while, having found 7 days a week a bit much after all.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to see Snafu again. I always enjoyed seeing his misbehaviour -- he's such a good source for LOLs.
Hell's Bells! Now that's a good one. Very descriptive and accurate, too.
Hope you all had a good summer and I look forward to visiting again more regularly.
So much for the calming collar - we were going to try that on our Al - so far nothing has deterred his naughty antics either. If you come up with anything, let me know. We do keep Al's claws trimmed and he can't hurt anyone.
ReplyDeleteSnafu you are a legend. I hope you're in training for the 2012 Olympics!
ReplyDeleteHilarious! Go Snafu!

Bells? Bells!? As a former victim of a collar with bells on it, I can assure you this is no laughing matter! I went into such a fury that I attacked everyone in the household. It was almost as bad as that time I watched an entire Vin Diesel movie! Bells drive me nuts. They make a intriguing tinkle sound that I want to chase... but they are ON me! Sorry. I just wanted to give a bell survivor's point of view.

I'm back and still following you. As per my latest blog post, I'm letting everyone that's in my following list know I still have them.
ReplyDeleteMOL the twins had bells on their collars for a long time, until Jadzia's collar became a source of her itching. Curzon recently got his back, but I took it off because it gave him an unfair disadvantage. But they all play nice. But the bells do work, giving everyone a warning!
bells work for us too (though we are a bit different... soft).. but the bells tell everyone when we are around and Mrs H can locate us when we jump the garden walls and go walk about. Love Darcy and Bingley xx
ReplyDeleteOh no. NOW you've done it! We've learned how ta move around quietly wif a bell on our collar.
ReplyDeleteBut The Big Thing's eyes lit up when he saw the idea of MULTIPLE BELLS! Now he has this idea of bells sewn onto our collars all the way around.
If he does THAT, we'll get even. We'll sit near him at night an shake our heads all night long...
...He'll be there 'With Bells On'
