He is quick with a sharp bite or a sweet nose tap!

He wades through broken glass to explore strange new cabinets!

He sleeps on spinning washers and rubs his face on...

Two more things for today:

2 - This will be our last post for a while as we’ll be taking the summer off from blogging. I can’t totally rule out a post now and then and I may visit but may not comment. I have thoroughly enjoyed blogging in the Cat Blogosphere (way too much) these past nine months. I had no idea such a large (and likeminded) cat loving community existed. It’s been so heartwarming to be a part of it. But, I need to work on a couple new projects for the summer and I’m looking forward to them, too.

Everyone is welcome to peruse old posts through the labels at the bottom of the blog or in the archives. Comments are always welcome!

Bed Buddies

I read a couple of posts recently about where kitties sleep on the bed with you. I had these pictures kicking around so I thought I'd put them to use.

Two Cat Tuesday - Nick and BJ

Two Guard Cats

BJ and Nick are on alert for "introoders,"

 which in this case would be Rocky, one of our neighbor's cats.

Rocky is an unneutered male who likes to claim our sheds as part of his territory, leaving a lovely scent behind. In defense, Nick likes to leave his lovely scent inside our house.

Lavender, it's not...

Short of keeping Nick doped up on Amitriptyline, we manage the problem okay with all the usual products. Nick has such a bright and happy personality when he's not doped up. We've missed him and are glad to have him back to his old self.

A Snafu Friday

This is one of Snafu's favorite places to play.

Thursday in the Garden

Guess What?

We are members of the Society of Feline Gardeners, but until this post we have only been dreamers of gardens.

I thought it was about time we did a gardening post.

So here is Wizard lounging around inside the cat enclosure

- the kitty garden, sorta.

Nick and Penny have found something interesting that caught their attention.

Nick is under the ramp.

Snafu in full ruff - always looking directly at you.

This is the full shot of them all.

You can see we have a bumper crop of dandilions this season, some plantain and crabgrass too.

This kitty garden was totally rearranged and trimmed back this past weekend by DP. The shot above is still in winter mode, but now it looks much neater with wider spaces to romp.

A Snafu Friday

Snafu loves the doggie backpack.

We use it to carry elder (stubborn) terriers on walks.

Maybe he is hinting that he'd like to come along with us on our outings?

A Snafu Friday

Now that the cupboards are locked, and the contents of our counters are stored in the microwave, Snafu needs to be more creative to get our attention.

Here we are in the office where he is using the direct approach.

All the cats are taught the keyboard is strictly off limits at all times. Period. But we are talking Snafu...

In The Closet

In our small tightly packed house everything has a place, and when that thing is missing, a space opens up.

In this case, every time I moved the package of paper towels, a secret hidey hole is revealed in the linen closet.

If a kitty happens by, it is irresistable!
