At one point during our long conversation about Snafu's anxiety problems with Dr Herman, our new homeopathic vet, she stops and says, "So, let's talk about Miss Penny."
"What color is she," she asks?
I can't imagine what she is getting at, can you?

P.S. We plan to give Snafu his test dose of new homeopathic herbs today. He has been a pee wielding wildcat.
Oh those darn calicos!!
ReplyDeleteWe hope the herbs kick in fast!! Good luck!!
We love that first photo but have no idea what the vet was getting at. Paws crossed the meds work!

Poor Snafu! We hope the herbal remedy really does help him.
ReplyDeleteLooking at those pics of Penny and Snafu is shades of what it was like with Annie and Nicki...Annie the aggressor first, then when he got big enough, Nicki. An endless circle of spats/fights/stress.
We're crossing our paws that things go well.
Oh, will Penny wear a calming collar? Just curious.

Come on Snafu, everyone seems to be following along except you. Didn't they let you in on the plan my friend? Oh drat, I'll tell you, you need to do some chillaxin my friend!
ReplyDeleteCalicoes and Torties...we love 'em but boy they can sure be snitty!
ReplyDeleteMiss Penny reminds me a lot of my Domino even though they are not the same colours. My theory is that the ladycat rules the roost -- it certainly seems to be the case, here, and they rule with an iron paw -- not often connecting, but always striking fear in the hearts of the mancats.
ReplyDeleteIf Snafu is particularly anxious, Penny could be certainly be contributing to it.
I hope everyone works out well with the herbal remedy.
We cannot figure how Miss Penny's colour comes into play.
ReplyDeleteHer sex or her place in the adoption order, we might understand. Did you try putting those two, with you, in a closed door room and watching the personality dynamics? Praying hard, really hard, that the new medicine will help our dear Snafu.
We totally agree about the females being the top cat! Little Abby rules the roost with an iron paw. Funny how they all follow her marching orders.
ReplyDeleteWe are sorry we have not been by to leave a comment, but our internet connection has been out for several days straight now with intermittent service for several weeks. We hope it is fixed, we are keeping our paws and whiskers crossed.

I have both, a tortie and two calicos ( I think, I almost have to do a head count at times), one calico is the calmest ever, the other one and the tortie both have major attitude issues. They almost go looking for someone to terrorize when bored. Sop I try to keep them occupied with "DOT" when I see this starting to manifest. Maybe I'll start putting Rescue Remedy in all the water. I am hopeful for Snafu to respond to the new holistic treatment in a positive way!
ReplyDeleteHmm very confusing.
