I adopted two Angel VSquillions from the Cat Blogoshere Shelter and they arrived on Monday!
One Angel VSquillion is in memory of Moseley, whose nickname was Peeper.
For newcomer's to Cat of Nine Tales, Moseley was helped to the bridge the day after Christmas, you can read about him here, or click on his picture on the sidebar.
The other Angel VSquillion is in memory of Bustopher, whose nickname was Boo.
Boo was my boy for 14 years and we'd been through a lot together. Moseley was there too, but Moseley was all about Moseley and Bustopher only had eyes for me. Boo was helped to the bridge on February 12, 2008 after a surprise onset of FIP. We found out too late to do anything but ease his journey. He was 14 years old.
Here is a scanned picture of Boo in his youth, less than a year old.
And here he is in his last year.
I'd never compared the two photos before. He looks like such an old man, although still handsome!
Anyway...
I heard about the new Rainbow Angel VSquillions from Milo and Alfie's post. I'd been wanting to adopt one for awhile and this was the perfect time. I thought it would be fun to adopt Angel's in memory of Bustopher and Moseley and post them on my sidebar, but when they arrived, they touched my heart and made me all teary eyed.
Thank you to Gracie at the Shelter! You made my day!

ReplyDeleteWhat great angel kitties - we have to post on ours too but our mom is too weepy to post them lately. We think it is great that you got them for Moseley and Bustopher.
ReplyDeleteAwwww, those are lovely VSquillions, and of course the original kitties were quite handsome. The Mommy got a bit teary eyed especially at your Boo, our dear Callie that we lost just before you lost Moseley, her main nickname was Boo.

We love both of their names, espeshully Bustopher's. What a handsome kitty!
ReplyDeleteMom does not have many photos of those who came before. That was way before digital.
The Angel VSquillions are a great way to honor their memories.
Hi Lisa what a great post filled with love!!! Our pets give us so much it is nice to be able to do something in their memory.
ReplyDeletePS I (Madi) might be looking for a new home if Mom doesn't start behaving soon! :-)!!! Save a place at your table for me.

How touching! As I said to Milo and Alfie's mom, these little ones who touched our hearts never really leave us. It's wonderful to memorialize them like this.
