A Visit to Dr Flowers

Today's adventure features Penny and Angus at the vets.

Two at a time.

A little treat helps convince them to get in the crate.
For Penny a Greenie, for Angus a mint gum wrapper.

Penny waited while Angus went first.

Angus is shy and scared, but at least he is well behaved. His weight? 13.87 lbs.

To keep him on the exam table, I tucked him inside my shirt while we waited for Dr Flowers.

Angus tires easily and starts to pant when we play group games. He also makes a wheezing sound when he breathes. Dr Flowers says all is okay and that he is just an odd duck!

Oh! I hate this part! Tarter removal...

Penny is next.

You'll be okay, I promise.

A svelte 9.75 lbs.

Man handled! What a good girl!

Here it comes...oh, my.
A little halo of gingivitis, but not too bad.

Back in the crate she goes...without any help this time!

Angus sees Penny and wants to join her.

I don't think there is a 2nd floor, Angus.

Is there room enough for two?
Sure!

Come on in, there's room in the back!

Right behind Penny...

  5. We're glad everything went well. We don't think our vet would scrape tartar while we were awake, though. MOL.

  6. Oh my word you had two fists full of kitty karriers!!! Too funny both in the one at the end. It is so funny how much it takes to get them in at home and how little it takes to get them in at the Vet.
    Great check up.

  14. Well, Penny and Angus seemed to do quite well at the vet, although I'm sure they were somewhat stressed. I suppose it's much more comforting to be next to each under these circumstances -- and to have a nice blankie to hide under.

They both look great! And they seem nice and healthy.

  22. Oh you and your mint gum!! That cracks me up....I hope you don't chew on anyone's toothbrush. I know someone in the Cat Blogosphere was caught doing it nnd now the family has to keep the tooth brushes in a drawer.

  23. Wow! You two do much better at the v-e-t than we do! No amount of treats can convince us to get into the PTUs!! Glad your visit went well!

  29. Vet trips are no fun. We are glad to hear that this one went so well. Just a bit of tartar, now that's a good trip. WE did get a big kick outta Angus in the last few pictures!

  31. What a great idea, bunching up together on the way home! Mom always makes me and Olivia share visits to the cat fix-it place, mainly because we get rabies shots at the same time. But we stay in our separate troll boxes both coming and going.

  32. that's what we are going to do with Jackie. He needs to remove some tartar too.

You two did a great job at the vet. xoxo
