Friday at the Movies: A Place at the Table (or under it)

With seven cats, mealtimes are serious business. This video is a hilarious capture of cat drama at mealtime.

First, know that we feed 4 small meals a day (5:30 AM, Noonish, 5:30 PM and 9:00 PM), and this behavior goes on nearly every mealtime. You can call me crazy if you want, but multiple small meals has worked out best for everycat especially, the vacuum cleaner (fastest eater), Angus who'd just barf it all up if he eats too much too fast. Our Vet loves that we feed this way.

Second, everycat wants to be in the prime spot next to the table, next to my right leg. Penny will pester and tease Yukon relentlessly and take all the biting/licking he can dish out, even Owen gets into the act. Notice the little tiff with Angus and Nick behind them. Wizard and Snafu are the only ones who don't get involved. This behavior if far beneath Wizard, and Snafu, well...he's Snafu. Penny gets her way of course.

DP was the photographer and so she posted it to her YouTube Account. If you can't get this to play, click here to go to YouTube.

Enjoy!

Thanks for stopping by!

  1. You've got that off to a fine art - we can't believe how quiet they were as we're always going "faster" to our Mum!

  2. Actually, we think that everyone was very well behaved! You should hear us carry on...and the human feeds us several times a day too, so it's not like we're starving. (She made us type that, of course we think we're starving if we don't get fed every 90 minutes.)

  3. We agree with Fuzzy Tales...you guys are better than we are at meal time. We're all over the counter trying to help the mom put the foods in the dishes faster. :)

  5. Wow, that's quite a crew! Binga and I trade lots of smacky paws at breakfast time especially.

  6. You think they misbehaved? Wow we thought they were very patient and had a few smacky paws but nothing too bad. My house with 4 cats sounds like a symphony.

  7. You are all very patient waiting for your food with just a few smacky paws. Mum said when she had 10 cats it was like a pack of wolves diving in.

  8. You guys sure get gourmet meals! Stinky goodness, crunchies for sprinkles...and some EXTRA stuff!!! We'd be mobbing if we got good grub like that, too!

  10. I am impressed that no one ended up on the table asking you to hurry up..

I have seven cats and we feed on two dinner plates, that way we can put the food down all at once
