Since we live in Maine, I'm obligated to show you a patch or two of snow that we still have left.
But less than 10 steps away the lilac is beginning to sprout leaves.
And we are promised a lovely show next week!
So the big story of spring is not the color here at Marshwood Cottage, but the sounds!
This video features the sounds of frogs and peepers around our semi-frozen pond (yes, the white you see is snow and ice), the song of a white throated sparrow and the most important sound of spring at the end!
Thanks for stopping by!
~Lisa
Our daffodils and tulips are about gone by here in Merryland, so we will enjoy seeing yours as they bloom!
ReplyDeleteOur flowers are just starting to bloom now too. It's been a slow starting spring. :)
ReplyDeleteWe didn't realise still had snow and ice on the ground.
ReplyDeleteLuv Hannah and Lucy xx xx
There are still one or two patches leftover from the city plows/snowbanks, but not much. Your lilacs look about a week ahead of ours, though. At least the daffodils and tulips are starting to bloom, in the sunnier areas. Still nippy here, though!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful and peaceful at your cottage!
ReplyDeleteEven with the patches of leftover snow, that looks so nice! My human LOVES our life in the city, but she wishes she could have some of what you have too! BTW, loved seeing Nick at the end of the video.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful new home you have!
ReplyDeleteA cats purr is the very best sound any time of year.
I know.. it is such a pain to have snow and flowers ;) but that's Maine for ya. I usually have a running bet with my husband each year when the banks are going to melt out of Walmart or the Mall..
ReplyDeleteIt looks so lovely there and the flowers are beautiful. Nick made sure he put in an appearance.
